August 29, 2008 Ad Hoc Committee Meeting
Present: Chris Cobb, Kitty Green, Joe Incandela, Daniel Party, Charlie Peltier, Patti Sayre
We discussed our meeting schedule for the immediate future. We will alternate Mondays and Fridays at 3 to accommodate teaching schedules. The next meeting will be Friday, September 5. At that time we will discuss our table notes and open microphone notes from the Faculty Development Day. Joe indicated that he would attempt a compilation and would send them out in advance of the meeting.
We will be working on developing an interview protocol for use when we meet with groups of departments and programs. We envision roughly ten groups (not in any particular order):
- Languages,
- The Arts
- Math,
- Science,
- Social Sciences,
- English, HUST, Comm., and History,
- The Writing Program,
- The Professional Programs
- Justice Ed, ICS, CWIL, WOST
- Religious Studies & Philosophy
We hope to begin these meetings quickly.
