March 19, 2009 Ad Hoc Committee Meeting

Announcements

Joe was invited to and will be attending two lunches that relate to our committee’s work: a Diversity Lunch and an Experiential Learning Lunch.
Three committee members will be on sabbatical next year. We will ask the nominating committee to include us in the next committee elections to find two temporary replacements.

We continued our discussion of what our next steps will be and considered three options:

we could organize our work by going around the arms of the cross, tackling one at a time
we could start with LO3 and “the crossing”
we could as a committee develop a as-complete-as-possible proposal over the summer. Then next year we could hash it out one part at a time in dialogue with the faculty.
