December 1, 2008 Ad Hoc Committee Meeting
Present: Chris Cobb, Janet Fore, Kitty Green, Joe Incandela, Nancy Nekvasil, Charlie Peltier, Patti Sayre
Announcements:
- Joe met with Elaine Meyer-Lee to discuss combined efforts with the work of the Internationalization Lab, in relation to topics that came up at the recent meeting with the faculty of Modern Languages. Another meeting is planned for Friday, December 12th with Jill Vihtelic and Tom Fogle, co-chairs of this group.
- Two Teagle Foundation grants may be relevant to our process of GenEd reform.
Committee members who were present at the meeting with the W Program Steering Committee recapped the meeting for members who had missed the meeting.
The committee set dates and times to meet over the Winter Break in preparation for Faculty Development Day in January.
The rest of the meeting was devoted to planning for the December 8th Faculty Development Day. This planning will be continued on Friday.
