October 7, 2009, Ad Hoc Committee Meeting
Present: Chris Cobb, Janet Fore, Kitty Green, Joe Incandela, Michael Kramer, Nancy Nekvasil, Don Paetkau

The minutes of the September 22nd meeting were approved.
- Joe shared the minutes of the Internationalization Lab Team that discussed the team’s thoughts regarding Learning Outcome 3.
- Joe also shared an email from Modern Languages commenting on their changes in wording on the blog.
- Joe reported that he had met with Student Government Board to update them on the progress of our work.
- Our committee continues to look at how to make our program more specifically reflective of the fact Saint Mary’s is a women’s college. We now know some ways that do not work, but we will continue to seek ways that do work.
- We debriefed the recent Gen Ed lunch looking for trends and issues.
- We discussed what logically should be our next step and decided that we would not revisit outcome wording until after all suggestions were posted by Fall Break.
- We began preliminary work on the topics for the next Gen Ed lunch.
